Upon arrival, the USPS Priority bag that the box was in was ripped. After opening the shipping bag, I heard a rattling in the box of the lamp. After opening the box the item was packaged in, I saw a loose piece of blue plastic in the bag surrounding the lamp. This plastic was a broken piece of the top of the lamp. Also, the light bulb in the lamp was dislodged and rolling around freely inside the the lamp. The bulb is likely defective due to it knocking around inside the package in the 22 days it took to get to me. I want a refund for the item as well as a refund for the shipping. I am extremely dissatisfied with my purchase. This item was to be a gift (an item the the person really wanted), and now I have no birthday gift for my sister. This tiny light produces fantastic theater-quality aquatic effects. The blues are gloriously soothing and look for all the world like ocean depths. The MP3 player is also impressive. The sound quality isn't quite A-grade, but distortion-free and actually does sound extremely pleasant at all volumes. Put on an ocean wave soundtrack, or maybe some classical music, and I call this the greatest night-light ever invented.You can turn on the power through USB, outlet, or batteries. Batteries give you the best placement options and is my personal pick, but obviously any way works fine. Overall, I love it. There are numerous other similar items out there that are way more expensive than you should have to pay. This device is simple, but still manages to produce top-notch effects. Highly recommended! |
