I did a ton of research and for my price point of around $300 I found this projector.I was a bit skeptical as I have had no luck with projectors recently and was nervous about throwing down so much money. Rest assured, this projector is worth it! I wanted a nice affordable movie projector for backyard movie nights with friends. Trying to find one that provided a great picture along with being affordable is no easy task. But this model is fantastic. I can't get over how crisp the picture is. And we use nothing but a white sheet pinned between two hammok posts. Even in a room with mid day sun the picture is still bright and clear. The fan is not too loud and the controls are very easy to work. If you can afford the price, this is a great buy. I highly recommend this projector!!! The 120 lumens is not bright enough to lit the picture in dark room. Everything comes up as red and you can't see the picture clearly..From the packing and condition it looked like it was made in 1960 and was laying in warehouse from long time. It provides no useful information at all -- more on that below. At the firmware level, not so good -- the biggest problem I have encountered, and still not solved is how to encode videos so that it can read them off a USB stick. I've re-encoded the same video in 5 different ways and it just refuses to read any of them. The manual ( a folded sheet of paper in broken english!) lists about eight different formats that it allegedly supports, but does not give any details of what frame rates, sizes, encoding methods etc. For me this makes the thing significantly less useful, since I specifically wanted something that could operate untethered. |
